Hey guys! Today it's black friday. What is that? "Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States (the fourth Thursday of November), often regarded as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. In recent years, most major retailers have opened very early and offered promotional sales to kick off the holiday shopping season, similar to Boxing Day sales in many Commonwealth nations. Black Friday is not a holiday, but California and some other states observe "The Day After Thanksgiving" as a holiday for state government employees, sometimes in lieu of another federal holiday such as Columbus Day"

Mafalda

Hey guys!!

Do you know who Mafalda is?

According to some pages "Mafalda is a comic strip written and drawn by Argentine cartoonist Joaquín Salvador Lavado, better known by his pen name Quino. The strip features a 6-year-old girl named Mafalda, who reflects the Argentinian middle class and progressive youth, which is concerned about humanity serious attitude problems and the world peace in an innocent manner."

Few weeks ago I uploaded a picture of his author Quino who won the Prince of Asturias award for Communication and Humanities. And now the pictures I will upload are about Mafalda.

There is an incredible sculpture in Oviedo of her, and of course we had gone and took pictures with it!

I have to apologize for not writing during these days, but I felt a bit blue this week... Today was a really weird day... maybe tomorrow I'll write a post about it...

Well, Yesterday I made with my classmates and my teacher a tour around my city (Gijón), I've really enjoyed it and I saw my city from a different point of view.

Game of Thrones: "Winter is Coming" to Spain

Hey people!!

The fifth season of Game of Thrones is being filmed in the South of Spain (Seville, Cordoba...).

A few weeks ago I wrote about how this TV Show had increased the Irish Tourism (check the post HERE )

So, now that is being filmed here, all the restaurants, hotels, and attractive places there, are prepared for the tourism boom that is going to happened.

"According to Time Magazine, previous filming locations have reported dramatic increases in tourism following the show’s visit. The number of tourists visiting the town and the Seville area is expected to rise by 15 percent, according to U.S. ambassador to Spain and former HBO exec James Costos."
