B/W Gijon.

As you know I love photography, what may be you don't know is that during all this days without writing I've been involving myself into analog photography.

I use different cameras from different years and eras, so I can appreciate the different styles in each photo.

Here I let you some pictures of Gijon, my hometown, with a Haking Halina Pet from 1962.

The photos looks like old ones and I love that!!

I was photographing the city with my boyfriend when we saw this guy playing music for money and I took him two photos.

About a week after that, I went to a photography shop next to that place to look for my printed photos. I realised that he was playing again there, so I gave him money and the photo, he took it and he was really really thanked about it.

That kind of things make me realise that I can make people smile with my photos.

As you can see, my favourite model is my boyfriend.

This is the St Peter Church and this one is my favourite photo. It looks like a 1940s photo of the city.

Guías en prácticas por Oviedo

21.12.2014, Domingo, inicio de las vacaciones de Navidad, pero para nosotras no hay descanso, nos encanta conocer las ciudades y hoy, como en otras ocasiones ha tocado Oviedo. ¿Cuál es la diferencia? Pues que hemos tenido nuevos compañeros. Mi compañera Aza y yo, fuimos a dar una vuelta por Oviedo pero esta vez nos dejamos guiar por unos futuros guías o "Guías en prácticas" (como indicaba su acreditación). Expertos en la ciudad y cada uno en una materia diferente nos fueron enseñando el paso de los años, de los estilos, de los gustos, de las historias...

Ana Ozores, conocida más comúnmente como La Regenta: Experta en literatura y sobretodo en el escritor asturiano Leopoldo Alas (Clarín) nos cuenta como era el Oviedo (o Vetusta) de sus novelas. Con casi lagrimas en los ojos aun recuerda esas tardes mirando por la ventana escuchando el campanario de la torre de la Catedral (A la cual mira con nostalgia), como paseaba años atrás de la mano de su marido (el regente de la ciudad)... o de su amante...

Can you feel love?

According to Greek mythology, we humans originally had four arms, four legs, and a single head made of two faces. Because Zeus feared that the authority of the gods might be compromised by this race of beings, he decided to split each person in half, condemning us to spend the rest of our lives wandering unrequited until we find the half we were separated from—our lost soul mate. It was thought that our undying pursuit of perfect love is the result of Zeus’s scheme to keep us busy—far away from meddling in the domain of the gods.

But, can you only feel love of a human? Another legends state that we can feel of everything that is alive... what if a tree can give you more love than a human? Have you ever tried?

Trees are alive, they breath, they grow, they feel like us... it is said that if you hug or touch one you will feel his energy and in contrast to humans they give you energy without taking yours. Not everyone can feel that but everyone should tried, you need to be peace, you need to feel yourself and then you can try to feel it.

Maybe that's not the kind of love we are used to but someone that give you positive energy without asking anything in return, is the best kind of love you can ever find.

I wanna end this post by saying that my celtic symbol is the cedar.... (My lovely sequoias should forgive me)... this is the characteristics of the Cedar:

Of rare beauty, knows how to adapt, likes luxury, of good health, not in the least shy, tends to look down on others, self-confident, determined, impatient, wants to impress others, many talents, industrious, healthy optimism, waiting for the one true love, able to make quick decisions.

They like to be pampered.

You are either with them or against them.

Breakfast II

Last friday we had another Breakfast, this time it was at the Barceló Cervantes Hotel. My university always make this type of breakfast once a year (according with the Francis Xavier day, patron saint of Tourism)
Most of the people (students, teachers, internal workers and some important people of the tourism sector in Asturias) were there.
